Why Consider Necklift Surgery?

Do you find yourself focusing on your neck when looking at a picture of yourself?  Do you find yourself getting creative with scarves to try and hide your neck?  If you are self-conscious about your neck, there is a solution.

At NorthEast Plastic Surgery, we have signicant experience in performing necklifts that result in the rejuvenation of the neck by removing the 'sagging' skin that is a result of ageing or genetics. Also through CSESO offer consultation on mishandled procedures.

What Can A Necklift Do For Me?

Necklift surgery is performed to address the following concerns:

  • Excess, lax skin
  • Fatty tissue under the chin
  • Loss of definition of the cervico-mental angle between the neck and chin
  • “Platysmal bands” (vertical lines under the neck skin)

Necklift surgery rejuvenates each of these areas by removal of excess lax skin, removal of the fatty tissue under the chin, creation of an acute cervico-mental angle and management of platysmal bands.

Necklift surgery is often performed in conjunction with facelift surgery to address skin excess and where appropriate, however it is also performed in patients where the neck doesn't match the facial appearance.

NorthEast Plastic Surgery has been designed to offer a bespoke and unrivalled cosmetic plastic surgical service of superlative standard and quality. Dr Seneviratne and Mr Tansley share their Australian and British plastic and cosmetic surgery experience in these educational articles.
