In 2018, our group published a paper on BIA-ALCL in the journal Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. In early 2020 we were advised that it was ‘…one of the most highly referenced articles in the journal’s history…’
To mark the 50th Anniversary of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, affiliated with the journal since 1976, Aesthetic Plastic Surgery has published a special anniversary issue in August 2020 republishing a selection of its most highly cited and downloaded articles.

Recently there has been much media interest regarding standards in aesthetic surgery. The Australasian College of Cosmetic Surgery considers tough new regulations ought be applicable to all practitioners of cosmetic surgery, irrespective of their training background, as the only way to ensure public safety. Mr Tansley was interviewed about this for Channel 9’s ‘A Current Affair’. The program went to air nationwide on Wednesday 18 April 2018 and internationally to a syndicated audience of up to 81 million people.

In February 2018 Mr Tansley published a paper in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery entitled 'Spontaneous Regression and Resolution of Breast Implant-Associated Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma: Implications for Research, Diagnosis an Clinical Management.
